1959 Porsche 356 A Coupe Finished in Ruby Red ( 6002 )

Sold new by Hoffman Porsche, New York, USA.

This is a very original car with no reproduction parts, everything is original and in super order. The shell has never been welded, nor does it need any.

Recent repaint back to the original colour it left the factory with ( it had had a colour change to blue at some point in it's life ), all done to show standard by renowned VW / Porsche restorer Irvs Restos. This car was actually Pauls ( Irv' ) own car until recently.

The doors, boot lid and frunk all shut with rifle bolt ease, door gaps are perfect.

The engine ( Non matching numbers, from a newer 356 ) has been slightly upgraded in cc to 1800cc and twin Weber 40 carburettors have been fitted. The engine starts well and is whisper quiet, it's a joy to drive.

Genuine white wall radial tyres have been fitted which look superb. The car gets admiring glances wherever it goes, it really is a work of art.

It just has the look, the body is arrow straight, it's also won quite a number of awards when it was in Irv's custody.

Interior is period with working radio etc.

All correct paperwork including factory cardex supplied, vin numbers and tags are all very clear to read.

A great opportunity to purchase an original metal 356 which is a rare thing these days.
