RHD 3.8 Series One E Type

This car was originally exported to the USA as LHD on 15 November 1963. It has spent nearly all of its life in California up until 2014 when it was repatriated to the UK and converted to RHD.

The cars main monocoque body work has never been restored and still retains its original panels, which are in remarkably sound condition no doubt having been preserved by the dry Californian climate. It has been subjected to a bare metal respray in signal red followed by a full re-trim in biscuit leather and a new hood fitted. The chrome work has mostly been re-chromed.

Over the past three years a full mechanical rebuild was undertaken including a total engine rebuild, a rebuilt all synchromesh gearbox installed, lightened flywheel/clutch, high torque starter motor, front and rear suspension rebuilds with platform adjustable shock absorbers and rebuilt diff (3.32 ratio), alternator, uprated 4-pot caliper front brakes, electronic ignition, plus, many other upgrades.

Whilst the car does have some paint flaws and does not have a matching number engine or gearbox this car has had a lot of money spent on it since it came back to the UK and is ready to use and enjoy.
